hi sorry for the dumb questions but here goes

I live in canada..... and beside all the trek and giant bike shops out there a few support devinci and guru.... I was wondering if anybody has either of these to brands or knows anything about them (good or bad)..... if possible I'd like to support a canadian company... provided they make a decent product at a competative price....

I was looking at a guru strada (steal) which comes outfitted with shimano ultegra ... but she's alittle pricey....

anyways thanks for your time.....

a great canadian bike is cervelo. never been on a devinci or a guru, but i've seen peeps ride them in groups and they seem fine.

While looking for good to great Canadian bikes, you can look at Devinci, Aargon (sp?), Guru, Marinoni and Cervelo. There are probably other manafacturers (Rocky Mountain...) however those are the main ones I have looked at. With regards to Devinci... I've ridden and have owend several of their mountain bikes over the last 10 to 12 years, since they were a much smaller comapany. They're good quality bikes, but I think the Guru Strada would be a much better choice as their are more options for fit etc.
Personally, I love my Marinoni legero but I'm developing at strong appreciation for the Cervelo soloist. Carbon Fibre. :o
Good luck with the bike hunting.

There is a LBS here in Louisiana that has been selling the heck out of GURU's to racers and Tri folks.

The huge plus with the GURU is that you can get the frame custom fitted with no extra charge. This also includes custom paint at no additional charge.

Let's say you have your eye on this yellow with orange accents bike and it's just a tad to long in the top tube for you and you would rather the paint be yellow with red accents. From what the LBS owner told me is that GURU will custom make your frame and paint it to per your request for the same price as if you just bought it off the sales floor.

I would really check the GURU out.
