Hi
I was wondering can anyone help ..I was wanting to get a computer for my bike looking at the shimano flight deck has sensors which are suppose to connect to my gear levers ( SL-R440 ) I bought the Sm-6502 kit. As per discription below

"SL-R440 levers offer precision Rapidfire thumb and index finger shifting for sport bikes with flat-type bars Flight Deck Compatibility / Can be used with lever-mounted Flight Deck control keys. SM-6501-M or SM-6500-M bracket/sensor kit required for SL-R440 shift lever Light Action Lever (F): No Front Speed: double/triple Mount Position: handle bar Tube Diameter: 22.2mm Shift Cable Casing: SIS-SP40 Weight 276g (pair)"

My problem is it does not give any fitting instructions and I cannot figure where they connect to the levers...

Any suggestions ?

Thanks
Eric

Sorry for being so ignorant but I have been to Shimano website and all I can see about the levers is " Flight Deck Compatibility / Can be used with lever-mounted Flight Deck control keys. SM-6501-M or SM-6500-M bracket/sensor kit required for SL-R440 shift lever. "

Can you tell me what website you are talking about ?

Thanks
Erico

Generally speaking, for RF shifters, the FlightDeck interface "pads" will mount in place of the mechanical Optical Gear Display. You're supposed to remove the OGDs and mount the pads there. I'm assuming you have one of these?

Simply remove the OGDs and mount the interface there. You can see how they are mounted to my XTR (M952) shifters here in this picture.
