Well...after about 4 years of excellent service, my Logitech MX 1000 is finally starting to go. The microswitch must be starting to wear down as about 35% of my clicks end up being double clicks, and its really starting to get frustrating.

I know a lot of you probably don't or haven't spent a wad of money on computer mice, but I don't think I could go back to anything else but a Laser Mouse similar to the MX 1000.

So if any of you have wasted money on a nice mouse, let me hear your recommendations please.

Limit is going to be $100, but I would preferably like to spend $50 or less.

I like the Logitech wireless trackball.

I love my Logitech trackballs - cept I wish I could get my old one where the thumb was trackball - that was awesome - oh and while I'm not wireless - still like this one. Even better for me would get another graphics pen - I luv them, ah well - maybe after updating winter bike clothes, etc etc etc...:p

ocz equalizer has been good to me since I switched from an MX518.
wired, but a damn good wired laser mouse.
my only complaint for this mouse is that the paint is a bit weak.

My Logitech G5 has served me well. Lots of abuse when playing Halo, Call of Duty, Half-Life 2, Portal, GTA 4, etc, and keeps on ticking. It's wired, but that have got to be the best mouse I have ever owned.

Not a big fan of trackballs...never got the hang of them. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I recently got the Logitec laser mouse (LX8). Absolutely love it. No need for a mouse pad, and doesn't get gunked up. I just got 2 at Staples for $35 each.
