Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I found a used Worksman Cycles "Pleasure Cycle" for my wife at an estate sale for $50 this past weekend. It's practically brand new! I don't know much about Worksman Cycles. The serial/id number is WTCP 013152 which I think means it was made in 2001. Don't know much else about it. Here's what I was able to ID on the bike...

It has a Sturmey Archer AWC 3spd Hub with a Coaster Brake. QuickShift(tm) twist shifters (any info on these?). Lee Chi Brake Lever/Caliper for the front. They're kinda cheesy, looking at upgrading 'em (any suggestions?). It also has Cheng Shin Tires on a 24" rim and Union pedals. That's all I could get off of it. Any more info if you got it would be appreciated! :)

Now, here's pics of the trike (sorry, none of the Wife). :innocent:

Excellent deal!:thumb:

Worksman are solid bikes and made in the USA in Queens, NY. They are typically seen on industrial plant sites throughout the country. You won't win any races on it, but it will still be chugging along 50 years from now with minimal maintenance.

It may see more than one estate sale. ;)
