I am having a hard time findig any specifics as far as industry standards go in frame building. I am not building my own frame, but I am trying to prototype a product that will attach to rear canti and v-brake posts. Ideally, I would like to allow all (save for maybe Pugsly frames) frames with canti/V bosses to work with this.

On my bike that has v-brakes & 700c wheels I have 80mm spacing center to center on my brake bosses. I know not all frames are the same and I imagine that 26" wheels would have a wider stance.

Is there any standard range for spacing bosses? I have found some brake boosters (not my product) that are slotted to fit 70mm-85mm CtC posts but shows a picture of 100mm spacing that wouldn't work with their product.

I space all my canti posts between 73 and 85 mm.
