Can anyone who has done a lab VO2max test verify the accuracy of the Bruce treadmill VO2max test please?
I did the test on 9/11 and I lasted 12:40 giving me a calculated VO2max of 45.31.
I did the test on 9/30 and I lasted 15:00 giving me a calculated VO2max of 55.09.
The first time I did it wearing an HRM so I kinda stopped when I saw my HR going up to 180. The second time I did it without an HRM so that probably explains why I lasted so much longer.
Anyway, my 5min W/kg is 3.90, 30min W/kg is 3.45, and FTP/kg is 3.09.
Is the calculated VO2max of 55.09 consistent with my power-to-weight ratios?
