What are your favorite tires for SoCal terrain-preferably clinchers?

Also any cool stuff I should add to my singlespeed cross that might make life easier, funner etc? Please dont say derailleurs.:)

Gears, oh WTB Crosswolf 700c x 32, good for street and dirt.

Yeah, no gears, I like the simplicity of the single gear, and the fact I have to work a little harder for it.

I ride a lot of urban, pretty hard, but I like taking my bike out to a good trail with jumps and short logs to jump too. Lots of dirty,dusty, rocky, sandy tails out here I only want to keep 1 bike as LA apts are small, and I'm not ready to spring for a second wheelset yet.

Those Crosswolfs look like they might be good, though I might want something a tad wider, I'm a big guy with a big bike-not ready for 29 tires tho.
