I’m trimming a hedge Monday evening. I put my hand on a vine to pull it out and feel a little sting on my hand. I thought it was a thorn so I keep working. I pull another vine and all of a sudden a whole bunch of bees are attacking. They got me on my arms, hand and stomach. Then one of the little Bee–astards flies up under my sunglasses and gets me right next to my eye. That hurt. My eye area got all swollen and its taken 4 days for it to return to normal. Darn bees!!

If it were me I'd be in the hospital. I'm highly allergic to stings.

Glad you are back to normal though...Any pics? :D

I've heard of three people this Summer have horrible instant infestations with yellow jackets this year.

My boss being one.

She noticed some bees circling around the ledge of her 2nd story window that leads to 2 yr old room and the bees were going in. So she called exterminator -on Friday - who couldn't come until Tuesday, meh no problem. Life went on as usual, but on Sunday - as they were eating - they heard bees - and listened to the walls and sure enough bees. Figuring they will call Monday morning, they thought no more about it. Since my boss has Monday's off, she went to the gym early and figured she'd call exterminator after. So she came home, took a shower and walked down stairs to find hundreds of yellow jackets flying around her dining room/living room. Grabbed the phone and ran outside and called exterminator.

He told her to stay out and do not swat anything - said the homones given off will trigger an attack.

He finally came in the afternoon, drilled holes into ceiling and sprayed. Had to come back the next day as well and tear down some ceiling, etc. There was a 5' hive that spread through the ceiling and walls (of the one part) and probably 3-5000 wasps - which he said because they are so aggressive - was built in probably 3 days.

He said another client had over 100,000 wasps - so much so the ceiling/walls bowed out - and he said that was built in little more than a week.

:eek::eek:

No pics but I do have this illustration. The little bee-astards also drew a hitler mustache on me and made me wear a flowery dress (they like flowers). Darn you again bees!!

I'm sorry I used some strong language. I was upset. ;) I was also a little high on bee juice. Forgive me.

I feel your pain. This summer and last I was swarmed by yellow jackets.

Took a long time to heal.

Last winter I developed an endocrinal disorder and one of the systems is dark scarring. So my arms and legs are still polka dotted from tangling with bees in June.
