Am getting a new wheelset for racing. Looking for a do it all racer set. Don't plan on changing tires - just one for everything.
Due to awesome shop support for our team, I can get a tubular build scary cheap or tubeless build for practically same price.
Tubeless - ZTR 355 29er rims - maybe velocity hubs, sapim lazer spokes, hutch bulldog tires. 32 hole front and rear
or
Kinlin tubular rims, maybe white industries hubs, sapim cx ray spokes, maybe 24 front 28 rear - challenge grifo tires.
I'm 155-160 lbs.
What wheelset to get? - the 29er rim is wider and if I switched wheels, the brakes would be far off - making pit wheels an issue. Tubular rim more in line with what i'm riding now and can have a consistent set up for pit wheels. This is the only major issue I see.
Insight anyone?
