Is there a source for lug blanks - stamped or cast - to try out cutting? Or do I get to figure out how to make my own?

Nova has stamped sets that have a bunch of extra material on them for not much money.

I always thought that they should sell blank lugs instead of lugs with fancy shorelines. Unfortunately, that probably would cut into sales quite a bit. The bikelugs lugs have quite a bit of material on them, and are intended to be cut down.

Out of curiosity, what kind of tool si normally used for that kind of work? Is there some kind of abrasive wire that mounts in a little frame and cuts like a miniature coping saw, or do you just have to dremel out the big parts and file to final shape?

I don't do that kind of work, but I think the answer is yes. You can drill holes and jewelery saw them, get in there with a dremel, use files, depends on whether the work is pierced or on the edges.

Is there a source for cheap lugs? They really don't have to be fancy. Which is all I see on Bikelugs.com.

I want some cheap simple lugs.
