View Full Version : Asking for a feminine perspective

Excuse me ladies, but I asked my lovely wife about this but she just smiled. I'm 57, 5'11", 192 lbs. Gray hair, but pride myself in keeping fit. I put about 1600 miles on the bike this year.

Yesterday I'm going down this heavily timbered rural road about 27 mph. I notice a youg attractive lady (mid 20's?) in a pickup come to a full stop, coming out of a local horsefarm driveway, and look up the road towards me, she obviously does not see me, and starts to pull out onto the road (same direction I'm going). I'm doing 27mph (slightly downhill). Suddenly we make eye contact. And I can hear her Scream "Oh my god!" and stops about a foot into the road. I easily go past her. No harm, and as she passes me down the road we both smile and wave. No Big Deal.

Now - I go home & mention this incident to the wife upon which we get into a discussion, and I would ask you ladies your opinion:

What Happened?

From a male perspective:
A) She obviously screamed "Oh my god!" when she saw what such a fine specimen of masculinity I am

or B) (Hopefully not the case):
She saw this fragile Old man on a bicycle and was fearful she would see a heart attack in action

or C)
She realized she had almost made a serious mistake and almost made me roadkill.

So what's your thoughts?
Oh-- BTW - If you choose C) you would confirm that the young lady would be ADMITTING she was about to "MAKE A MISTAKE", so I would rule that out. :D

If you choose B) - that would totally demoralize me :(

Which leaves A) as the only true answer. That's what My wife chose, but she did so with this strange smile on her face. Gosh, I sure LOVE that Woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Just know your wife loves you and she lied to protect her right to be a woman....

Actually I think it was C. I don't knwo where the sun was, or which direction she looked first, but I think it was the realization that she almost hit someone despite being careful.

She obviously knew she was at fault since she gave you the I'm sorry wave futher down the road instead of giving you another sort of wave.

Glad to hear no one was hurt.

Ah huh....I guess A) MUST be the right answer.

Thank you both, at least I didn't get a B) answer so far. (phew).

Thank you MsVicki, and glenghille, I think you for your honesty - but its hard to believe the feminine gender would admit to a mistake (SAID IN JEST). She looked PAST me up the road, I was about 50-75 yards from her closing in to about 20 yards when our eyes met. I 'guessed' what was happening and started to swing to the other side of the road. I had on a bright RED jersey, but perhaps she was colorblind. BTW - I hope I don't offend the feminine gender on this board, but a thought I can't pass up. NOPE- she was not a blond! As far as my wife, yes I know she loves me, (and vice versa). I just hope I'll always be the husband to her that she thinks she married!

See if you had been wearing yellow.....

BTW I have to qualify my answer. I haved recently found out I am more of a genetic abnormality than I thought. According to "Parade MAgazine" our weekly Sunday fodder, I am a rarity. I haved VERY dark brown hair...my coworkers even argue with me that it is black...and bright blue eyes. Supposidly they are not a common combo. Couple that with just about every other recessive genetic oddity you can think of an d sometimes I wonder how I am still considered human.

BTW, I think my hair/eye combo is rather sexy. Better than brown eyes and blue hair.

I have blonde hair and dark brown eyes. I guess a little more rare than the old blonde hair/blue eyes combination that you usually see.

But lucky you! I have always loved the dark hair, bright blue eyes combination!
