Hi, I've got a 2004 model single pivot design Marin Rock Springs. I use the bike daily and recently the air pressure in the rear shock has needed topping up every week. The OEM shock is 185mm but 190mm seems to be a standard and there is much more choice in this size. There seems to be plenty of clearance for an extra 5mm and my question is: has anybody put a 190mm shock in a 185mm frame such as this and what are the potential pitfalls?
