I have 2 different GXP bottom brackets.

They appear to be the same but have different numbers printed on the drive side cups.
One says 37-05 and the other says 34-06. Both bottom brackets seem to be exactly the same.
Do the different numbers suggest that the specs between the 2 are different.

I thought all Truvativ GXP bottom brackets were the same except that some were available with
ceramic bearings or english or italian threads.
Both of these are not ceramic bearing and have english threads.

Thanks for any help

Second number possibly to do with the year. I don't think the numbers actually matter. I just pulled a GXP bb marked 18-09. The one on the truvativ website is marked 04-07

The first number might be the week, the second number the year. They would then be used for quality control and/or warranty issues.

If anyone has one with a number that doesn't fit this system, then please post and we can come up with a new theory, but so far all posted numbers would fit.

05-08 for an '08 model bike

Could be a production date code; week number - 2 digit year.

To invalidate the above theory:

1) First set of numbers > 52
2) Second set of numbers > 09

If someone can find a gxp bb with those criteria then we're wrong.
