Hi....

I've been riding this beautiful bike for about a year now, absolute joy of a find... The frame is in mint condition as is the Victory Corsa group. CBT Italia isn't the best known of bike makers but the quality of the build is astounding and the crimped seat tube is amazing design to shorten the rear stays and aid climbing. Unfortunately credit crunch is crunching and I need to get some money together quickly-I don't mind parting it out (in the sense that I need the money that bad...) but would rather not in terms of the fact that the bike is beautiful and deserves to stay as it is... That said if parting it out should I sell the group as a complete set or individually? Any input much appreciated!

It really depends where you live and how much hassle you want to endure. In many areas, the bicycle season is coming to a close, so sellers are lowering prices to move bikes. That's how I bought my really nice Colnago last January. Motivated seller + lack of buyers = super hot deal.

Parting it out means selling a lot of parts individually, polishing them up so they shine, using ebay, and then shipping a dozen individual packages.

You have a really nice bike, if you are comfortable shipping it, you might try an ebay auction with a "buy it now" price you are comfortable with. That's probably where I would start. That would mean just one thing to ship, one transaction, fast (if you find that right buyer), etc.
