Cyclocross - Road Tires for 700 x 30c?

So i just bought a Motobecane Fantom CX and want road tires to make it a commuter, but whenever I type in the 700 x 30c on google it only comes up with cyclocross tires. how can I get a tire with the 30c width or w/e. Thanks sorry I'm relatively new to all the bike terminology so heres the link for the bike and its got a stats sheet on it with the tire sizes.

700x30 is not a very common size, that's probably why you're only coming up with cross tires. Try some 700x28 or 700x32 tires You could probably even go with 700x25, but i think 28 or 32 make better commuter tires.

This is a good commuter tire. It is puncture resistant, smooth riding and performs well. Try to find it in a 700 x 28 size.

Cheap and pretty good

700C indicates the nominal tire size (outer diameter). Otherwise known as 622mm (which is the tire bead diameter and a more meaningful number). 29" mtn tires are the same 622mm, just fatter/taller outer diameter.

30,28, 32 are widths in mm. 23 is the most common road tire. 25 and 28 are common touring and commuting sizes. 32 and 35 are common cross sizes. There is some overlap, as many tires are available in several widths.

The rim width will dictate what width tire to run. But, most road/cross rims will take a 23 to 32 with no problem.

not sure how bad the road conditions are on your commute, but the schwalbe marathon plus is a good choice. heavy but good. comes in 700 x 25 - 45.

I didn't measure my 700X32, but they definitely seemed to be a bit small for a 32...probably more like 30mm.

Panaracer Pasela TG 28 foldable is very light and has the kevlar belt for flat protection. It is very easy to remove and remount, when you do get a flat. I had difficulty finding a replacement so I now ride on Continental Gatorskins

My vote is that you change your commute to go with the tires.

Go ahead and get the 700x30 CX tires, and commute through the woods!

+1 on the Panaracer Pasela TourGuards. I commuted on them for 3 years. Only had 2 flats. :thumb:
I started with 700x32 but changed to 700x28 after the first set wore out.
