I just picked this up on Craigslist and am wondering if anyone can help identifying this frame, or appraising it. It appears to be a 56 or 56.5 and the seller told me it was from the mid 80's. Columbus tubing, chromed chainstay and fork.

Did a little search on ebay and discovered that they seem to fetch some good money. Then again ebay prices are often inflated

Looks like Corsa Strada, it could be as new as the '90s. The tube set used may tell. As well as determine the value. It's got to say more than just Columbus. All Torellis are quite good but to ID the tubing / model meens more , can pin-down aprx. yr. too.

$150-300.
Its overall condition is lacking. Its red, its Italian.....it could go for more, it could go for less.

I wouldn't accept any less than $300 for it, I'd sooner sit on it for less
SLX
Chrome fork .... Sure, I've seen blue Torellis, models that were Aelle (which is OK), and tubesets with less cache go for 2 or less. Tocatas can be less ....
Alex ar Smart Cycles, he ads. here might give you info. SLX, lugged, think about it.

I am pretty sure Mondonico built the Torelli frames. Maybe someone else can confirm.

I can... only the Countach model. He built every Countash himself. By his own account, he enjoyed building those. He felt he had a free hand; no constraints that the Mondonico Models entailed. Athony Mondonico built at his house. He retired 3+ years ago, I bought one of his last frames.
His son never took to welding, worked with him, still runs it all. A nephew torches.
Corsa Stradas were made in a sep. shop. All their bikes are damn fine. There's some about him on the net, more and more vanishes each year.
