So I just found a Team Pro for sale near me for $50, it's too small for me so I would have to flip it but would it be worth it?

There is a sub-forum for this but, with the right photos, you could get $400 for it. At $50, you better be quick!

Yeah I wasn't sure if this should go in the sub-forum or not, sorry.

Just shot the seller an e-mail asking to meet and check it out.

You can get a lot more than $400 for that bike if it's in good shape.

Nice score!

I'd bet that next time you won't ask, you'll just go get it & brag here later.

50 bucks????!!!
What was wrong with the seller???
No one in their right mind would let that bike go for that pittance!

She lived in an apartment complex and didn't have any room. From talking to her I could tell she used to be a pretty decent biker and knew that it was worth more and was happy to see it going to someone who appreciates it.

Crap - I would absolutely love to find one of those for $50. I rode one in Oakland this year - unbelievable ride - and was offered a frameset at $400. How small is too small? I'd still try to ride it if I were you.

It's a 54, I need a 58, I'm def gonna give it a run around the block but anything more than that isn't gonna work.

Was the one you rode $400 for the frameset, or were they $400 new for a frameset?

Dang, 54, I could do that!
Can you be a real nice guy and flip that to me, a Peugeot/Gitane 80's steeley super fan, for 200-300ish bucks!??
I've been watching out for that bike for years and I never ever come close to even getting to touch one.... :^(

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet, would love to trade it for something in a 58 or an all mountain bike but I'll keep you in mind.

The one I rode was just another bike lover's ride. With the components he had on it the bike was worth more than $400 especially because the paint was impeccable. I don't believe the bikes were sold as framesets. Check out the catalog at www.gitaneusa.com (http://www.gitaneuse.com) and join the forum - they'll give you a wealth of info. Several of the members there have Team Pro bikes and love them.

Definitely a "yay!"

That's the same model frame LeMond rode in the World Championships.
