So it was pouring cats and dogs last Friday evening in NYC. I decided to go for my 30 mile bike ride in Central Park anyway.
It was fun, I did 5 laps, there were no other cyclists on the park drive except for a few commuters and delivery guys.
I thought a little about slipping and falling as I went down the hill near the public pool by the Harlem Meer and pictured Jan Ullrich falling during last year's final TdF time trial, but I made it through the whole ride OK.... until the end.
I was riding onto the path that leads to the Great Lawn to admire a Bianchi Pista (that someone locked out in the rain) and as I'm staring at this beautiful bike I slipped on the curb and fell right on my side, scraped my elbows, knees and shoulders.
I hate falling at 3 mph.
