Stupid Aussie...those are Little 500 bikes. I have seen a few in the Chicago streets this year. Not sure how you land one though. Mongoose makes most, if not all, of them for the Little 500

Sounds interesting, track bike with platforms, each lap you have to switch riders (if this is incorrect, please tell us how this race works...), but you only have 32 feet to make the exchange, you can try to slow down the bike to make a safe exchange, but it looks like most riders just bail and take some pain to save a few seconds, where do i sign up?!

Sure. A cyclocross frame meant to take a coaster brake and one piece cranks.

The closest thing I've ever seen like that is a old Schwinn Varsity frame. ;)

mostly correct. they're not real track bikes tho. they have coaster brakes.

Bah, theres no challenge on a bike switch with coaster breaks! Give them fixed gears, then lets race.

Geez, I was just trying to raise the bar fer cryin out loud. Friends don't let friends ride bikes with BMX BBs and coaster brakes. :)
