Professional Cycling For the Fans - Does anyone know the name of the song that OLN plays at the end of thier coverage?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've been looking all over for this and I can't seem to find it. The songs been stuck in my head forever and instead of waiting till they play reruns to hear it again, could someone please give me the name if they know it, thanks. Its the up-tempo song that has a classical feel to it and it repeats the same thing over and over again. Not that olymipic type song.

haha
i actually kinda like that song too. it has a good beat to it without being too fancy or dull
I find that song irritating. It sounds like the same five-second music track set on repeat. OLN should hire Orbital to do some music for them. :)
I kind of like the song they use on the Lance Chronicles that starts out with the acoustic guitar doing octaves and then the electric comes in.

I know we are totally and shamelessly hijacking the thread, but I really LOVE Orbital. They rock!

I think that the piece from the end of the Chronicles is kind of Borrowed / played on "Hearts, love and Honour" by The Headstones, but I do like it... maybe a Cheryl Crowe ditty?

I always enjoy the OLN coverage -- I wish they were covering the Olympics! I'm a big Bob Roll fan. I think many underrate him, but really...he's the one that's been there and done that. Plus I think he's funny. Anyway, does anyone know if there is a fan website?

Are you talking about the one they played in and out of commercial breaks during Le Tour?

Yeah....I like that a lot. Just hearing it reminds me of better times....July....warm weather....bike riding outside...Tour de France time.
What IS that song and how do we get it?
Here's what I'll have to do. I'll contact OLN if I can find a number for them somewhere. Can someone help with ideas for how to get a number for them? Once I get that I'll get through to the producers and get an answer.

Why bother? You could probably reproduce it on a cheesy Casio keyboard by tapping out a few notes and then setting the thing to repeat. :)

GOT IT!
Just talked to them.
You can't buy it anywhere.
It was a piece of music that a company out west produced for OLN only.
The thing doesn't even have a name.
Happy to help!
I wonder howthey label the tape or disc. " Tune with no name" Band: none
or da da da da da

Probably something highly original like, "OLN TdF Theme Music".

Very nice about it.
Told them about the forum too...they're on to us there.
If you ever need anything, let me know. Some times the power of the media and having a radio show behind you opens certain doors. Although it hasn't helped me yet in my quest for a one-on-one interview with LA.

will do :D
FOr some reason, I'm having a hard time remembering it. I think I"ll have to play one o the tapes. BUt I always remember the theme from the Giro opening and closing credits; it's very dramatic and sort of majestic. WHen they run it over the closing credits, it's just as effective.
