Hi All -
Just wanted to drop in here and introduce myself. I currently weigh in at 215 (down from 235). I have been lurking around BF for a few months and have to say that I am drawn to this forum over all the others. You guys and ladies just seem to have the same outlook on cycling as me. I am very much a newb who likes to get some fitness while seeing more landscape than walking or running would allow me. I currently ride a Cannondale Comfort4. This allows me to ride rail trails, on the road or with the kiddies.
I must be falling for this cycling thing though because I am already starting to lust after my 'next' bike.
I am located in Harrisburg, PA and am excited to keep learning from you all. Hopefully, one day I will be able to offer up at least a small portion of the knowledge I have already gained.

Andy

Welcome Andy,

I think you've probably got it nailed - biking is addictive. I started a little over two months ago and I've gone through 3 bikes already. Gave the first one to my son, got a "fitness" bike, turned the fitness bike into a trail bike, then, bought a road bike.

It's the best habit I've ever had. You're right about the forum also. There are a lot of helpful, informative and inspiring folks here. Hope you feel comfortable and fit right in.

John

Historian - I saw you were in the area. Hopefully next time you are around we can meet up. I generally ride solo, but not by choice. BTW I enjoy your posts with all the pics.
Off topic - how do you do the quote from a previous post thingy?

First off welcome and it is nice to have another member that is pretty close. To quote someone's post at the bottom right of their post there is a couple of links and one of them is quote with reply. You can also check the box at each post(s) that you want to quote and use the quick reply function but that one you will have to try trial and error.

Learning something new everyday, thanks NUTNDUN. One of the reasons I joined the forum was because I saw like minded people in my immediate area. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and hopefully sharing some rides.
