I'm thinking of getting a set of rollers for use over the winter.

For an older rider (read: not especially strong) who won't be using the Killer Headwind, is there any compelling reason to go with the alloy endcaps over the polycarbonate ones?

I'd love to save what money I can, while still getting a durable machine. Hoping to hear from those with actual experience, and thanks!

Aren't the alum a bit quieter than the poly?

(BTW, Seawind, Jazz?)

They may last longer but not really much quieter.

Naw, nothing that cool. Seawind is a handbuilt canoe; mine's number 161.
