Well actually it's camping headband style light that can be zip tied or strapped to the helmet if you think outside the box. Runs on 3 AAA batteries and very compact.

I think it will nicely compliment your bike mounted light or ideal when you need to get home when your ride finishes at dusk. Does not look so durable but it comes with a 3 year warranty.

Meh. For $28 (with shipping, though), you get 200 lumens in a hardcore metallic super sturdy LED from batteryjunction.

I could not find this in batteryjunction.com. Maybe I am looking at the wrong place. Can you please post us a link.

Ok, it seems like batteryjunction.com (where I bought mine last year) doesn't carry the Terralux one I use anymore. However, many places do, and here is one:

I actually prefer the FENIX light (lighter, smaller by a tad), but it costs 2x as much, so I can't recommend it over the terralux for bikes. (For running, FENIX + headstrap is the king.)

But how do you mount a flashlight to your helmet?

But how do you mount a flashlight to your helmet?

I use a large rubber O-ring through the vents and a wine cork cut into a shim to get the proper angle.

But how do you mount a flashlight to your helmet?

Length of inner tube with a hole in either end, stick through vent holes, snake around flashlight.

I have tried used O Rings from Oil Filters and they work great but have not tried used tubes. Won't the tubes rip if you stretch the cut holes?

The Terralux looks very impressive with 200 lumens using 2 AA batteries. Now only if I could get my wife to return the light I got from Walmart I could give it a try ;)

The tubes will not rip - been using mine for 2 months now and they're still holding up great. It's the best way to mount a flashlight on your helmet - rock solid stable.
