- I keep meaning to try Poron on my bars; it's used for insoles and for cushioning hard drives. You can buy it in sheet form if you look on the net.

I've always used the Specialized Super Bar Phat on my bars due to a bad wrist. Only way I could ride a bike for any distance.
I use 2 rolls of tape. That with gloves are perfect for me.

I'm gonna say it HTFU.
But in a more serious note, gel cork, is nice. Specialized bar phat and whatever Aztec makes, is good if you want more padding.
A good tip is it not use the adhesive backing on the barphat or aztec. Its very hard to take it off the bar. Instead, leave the film on and just wrap electrical tape around it.
