Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Where to inquire about a bikes value?

I'd like to get some input on the value of my Cannondale CAAD 3 frame. Where should I post a thread?

Ohh kay... Did I ask a stupid question? I ran through the list of forum's and apart from the sub-forum in vintage and classics I really don't see where I would go with this. Should I just post it in the road biking forum? I don't see any other posts in there asking for opinions of value of bikes. I'd genuinely like to know what the frame I have is worth on the market (Craigs List value). I'm not proposing to sell it.

Would someone set me straight?

Road might be a place to start, or even C&V, depending on the age.

Thanks for the suggestion Old and New, but unfortunately it didn' work too well. I posted a question about the likely value of the frame in the classic and vintage appraisals forum, and despite many viewings, did not get a single response. It left me with the impression I somehow comitted some sort of blunder.

Perhaps nobody has a point of view (I'd be surprised, given the amount of experience in that forum). Perhaps the bike is not considered a classic (though the forum seemed to affirm that there is a bias toward giving people lattitude on that point). Perhaps some misgivings about the stereotype of the inexperienced Boston cyclist? Perhaps some ambivalence to the Cannondales or the CAAD 3?

In any case I'm left with the impresssion that I asked a foolish question and don't know why. Wouldn't be the first time. Oh well...
