Some individuals would say the bike's worth a hundred or so if they had intentions of "fixing it" to sell. Where you stand though, considering it's in VG shape, two hundred is tops, a full price but worth it if you like it and all's well. Being able to get it for less ought to be tried. In any case it would need to be the correct size. A bike that doesn't fit needs to be sold, putting you in a seller's possition, rendering the bike's value far less. The Olympian is not top notch; it IS a good solid bike, reasonably good componts, chrmoly frame, stylish and all around fine choice.

NOT ripped. The man's prevailing for sure..,. so are YOU.. Think about it, you like it, it fits, it's a Raleigh, not a Fuji (which are OK but still) .
I don' know, seems folks are REAL critical about what others spend on bikes.. YET they relish scoring a bike for this & selling for that...that's what they do.

I've fretted over purchases; bikes.. you name it; not paying attention to other things. I've sat at this dumb PC, ordering-in food = more $$ than a bargain hunt is worth.

I see Asian built bikes every week on e-bay, some go for 50.. others 250 + shipping
you can see, ride and get the bike W/O paying frt. Think abouit all this. 175 = aOK

One missing piece of the puzzle is the marketplace, We don't know where you live. Prices can vary widly, depending on the location. You need to check out the pricing of similar models in your market for comparison. Don't forget to factor in differences for needed repairs.

In the end, if the bicycle is in very good condition, fits you well, it suits your needs and there's nothing comparable avialable, then it's worth it to pay a small premium over local market value.
