So, what are all of yours predictions for the weather this winter?
With the amount of moisture we got this summer, I'm predicting a very snowy winter.

Farmer's Almanac says "very cold and snowy" for the NW half of the state and "colder and wetter than normal" for the SE half of the state. Looks like a good year to pick up new ski equipment. I'm glad I have the option of working from home if I need to

Seems like it will be cold and snowy. I'll be getting my skis tuned next week...

The accuracy of any forecast falls dramatically for every day further into the future.
Anyone who believes a forecast beyond one week can have better than 50% accuracy is just dreaming.

Accuracy?
"There is a 5% chance of snow"= You look outside to see a blizzard.
"Blizzard forecasted today"= 70F and sunny

But you must admit, forecasting summer weather in the Front Range is a weatherman's dream job.
They can use this every day all summer long:
"Tomorrow sunny and clear, with a chance of evening thunderstorms."

Warm and sunny on days where I'm chained to my cubicle.
Cold, dreary and wet when I'm not.
It would sure be nice to have the XC areas ooen up before thanksgiving. Been a number of years since its been cold enough for that. Snowed again last night. we're off to our best start in several years. I could sure use a good long snowy winter.

Can we just keep the vast majority of it to, say around, 6,500'+ please -- pretty please? This lowlander likes to keep things as cold free and snow free as possible.

Except for a few weeks there we were able to add in tornadoes.

500+ inches at the ski resorts would make for a nice winter!

Given the snow already started to fall a bit in boulder, I predict that it will be pretty wet this year.

I've lived here 25 years and the only thing I'm sure of is that it will be the most __________ winter in memory. The fun part is that every year it's something different.
