So the other thread started me thinking. Does anyone see any safety issue with the material of sunglasses & glasses used for biking? I have plastic lenses with a metal frame - should I consider switching to a plastic frame? Maybe a non-issue, just curious.

I have plastic lens & plastic frame. Not sure about safety. I purchased it because it was on sale at Performance.

I've had a plastic frame break in a very nasty way.
It was below freezing at the time.
5 stitches in my eyebrow.
I'd still be most concerned about lens material, though.

Your frames should always match:

Riding a steel bicycle frame, wear steel eyeglass frames;
Riding a Al bicycle frame, wear Al eyeglass frames;
Riding a Titanium bicycle frame, wear Titanium eyeglass frames;
Do they have Carbon Fiber eyeglass frames yet?
