If you've even glanced at it, you know this channel has awful picture. The only triathlon/cycling channel on cable and it looks like I'm streaming from youtube.

I had a very nice signal when DTV had it last month. No complaints at all.

Are you watching on a big HD TV? Because it looked like crap on mine. Hmm Dish Network huh? I wonder if my wife will get that joke. And how do we get all the stuff off our DVRs? :(

I watch it on an old tube tv, I have FIOS and the picture is remarkable.

It didn't look very good on my HD LCD TV. I appreciated all the cycling that I could watch in September, but the picture did leave some to be desired. I could have streamed it online and plugged the laptop into the TV and had similar picture quality.

Picture looks fine to me, on par with any other channel on TV. I'm watching over the air.

If you're watching it on cable or dish, the problem may be that they're compressing the heck out of it to make room for more popular channels. That's not Universal Sports' fault.

I noticed the same thing about Universal Sports where I live (getting the feed from comcast) so I think comcast is compressing the you-know-what out of it. I can't get a good over-the-air signal so I can't compare.

I don't have cable - but Universal looks like total crap compared to everything else I get over the air. It is like watching a crappy analog station from the 80's. All the other stations are crystal clear.

Looks like crap on Cox but it's not an HD channel.

Wow, I'm surprised the FCC is letting them get away with that.

Wow, I'm surprised the FCC is letting them get away with that.Well, we've gone with all-digital broadcast now. But there's no regulation on what kind of feed you provide to that broadcast. You can pull stuff off HD-cameras or from VHS tape, doesn't really matter as long as you broadcast it digitally.

No problems at all for me, on HD over an antenna.

I just love being able to get cycling on regular TV in the US - it's the only TV I watch.

(ok, ok, there's the strange fascination of the other obscure sports they've got on there - and I'm sure the folks over at BadmintonForums.net talk about how weird it is that they put people in tight clothes on bicycles on the TV after the pro badminton tournaments)
