OK, this is my first foray into gluing tubulars. My question - is it ok to use different brands of glue on the same application? Some background info.
I'm gluing Tufo Elites to a CF rim - both new. So far I've got one coat of glue on the rim and the tire. Going to put the second coat on I realized I won't have enough to finish.
I plan on 3 coats to the rim, one the the tire (practices vary, but that seems to be the general consensus).
For the first coat I used 'Tubasti' rim cement. I used 1 1/2 tubes for both tires and rims. (It's a semi-thick white glue). My source for that glue is 50 miles away, so I picked up some Vittoria Mastik One (which is also a 'white' glue.)
I plan to use the Vittoria for the final two coats. Is this a good idea or should I start all over with new glue?
Thanks for any advice on this.
