I'm working on a fixie project, an old Dunelt frame that I really like. I'm pricing cranks now, but wanted to pass them by here first to get some opinion.

I keep coming across Bulletproof cranks. Seems like every LBS I go into ends up recommending them to me, but I can't find anything online about them. Positive or negative. Sheldon seems to recommend them, since they're one of only three cranks he has for sale in the fixie pages. I've also found a pair of used Simano Sora cranks on eBay for $45.

I was also looking at BMX cranks, and found a pair of Black Widow for a decent price. Never heard of them, but thought I'd ask around.

Basically, I'm looking for a good value in crank arms - not nessisarily a big name.

Try looking for a older set of cranks that have a normal BCD, if your LBS has a used parts bin, you should be able to find something super cheap...
