I have never been to this event before and would love to hear what to expect in terms of pricing and availability. I am mostly interested in new bike trainer and winter clothing.

I've gotten some great deals there, but it's usually just whatever shops have too much of or need to get rid of to make room for newer models.
I did get a Cycle Ops Fluid trainer for $200 which was pretty awesome. Lots of places have apparel, but I don't remember seeing any great deals on winter stuff when I've gone. Go as early as you can for best selection.

I got a nice winter jacket there a couple of years ago.
But the lines to pay can be ferocious. Last year I just put down the goods I was wanting to buy and walked out.

I have never been to this event before and would love to hear what to expect in terms of pricing and availability. I am mostly interested in new bike trainer and winter clothing.
Been there 2 times before. DOn't expect it to be large. Think of it as umm.. like 2 x the size of a McDonalds deep. It's a warehouse but a short distance one. One eye can see all into the place if you're standing at the right place at the enterance. For $5 it is up to you if you want to spend it. If you can hold out till the last 60-30mins I've heard of people getting extra honey poured on their deals because the dealers don't want the extra trouble of carrying thier stuff back. Mind you selection would be lesser then but depends what you want and how patient you are. I got a Gore WindStopper vest for $10 one year which I use a lot. Brushed inside and very low bulk to carry in a 12L light trekking MTB or ride setup. I've also gotten Continental Twister (IIRC) 26x2.3" I think for $20/ea very aggressive tires that normally to my knowledge go for about twice that much. Lucky find in a huge sort bin tho. Patience has it's rewards but as said pending when you go the line ups CAN BE REALLY BAD. I'm talking make sure you don't drink any water bad before you're in a line situation because if you go to the loo don't expect anyone holding anything for you.
