Is anyone doing the Cooters Night Ride next Saturday that starts in Inverness? Has anyone done this ride before? How was it? Would you recommend it?

INVERNESS - The 6th Annual Cooter and the Night Riders Moonlight Bike Rides gives riders a unique chance for a nighttime ride down the Withlacoochee State Trail.
The Oct. 17 ride begins 6:30 pm at Suncoast Bicycles at 322 N. Pine Ave., Inverness, and continues south through Floral City. Riders can choose distances of 15 or 30 miles. A cookout follows the ride.
Pre-registration for $15 is available until Oct. 9, which ensures a tee-shirt. The fee is $20 after the 9th and does not guarantee a shirt.
The ride is part of the fun-filled Great American Cooter Festival, which includes the Cooter Idol and Miss Cooter competitions, Sunny Cooter's Barbeque Cook Off and live bands.
Call Inverness Parks and Recreation at (352) 726-2611, Ext. 1309, or log onto www.cooterfestival.com (http://www.cooterfestival.com/) to obtain a registration form or get more festival information.

After the reluctant delivery of the registration form with snail mail as the only way to do it, I didn't get my stuff to the post office in time. Result of that - I'm just going to blow it off this year.
