I don't pay much attenetion to the news until I heard Bush fell off his bike, again! Anyone know what kind of bike a president rides? A Litespeed maybe? Just couldn't help but wonder. thanks.

He rides a Trek Fuel 90
Oh, ok thanks. Good for him! All I know is that he rides a mountain bike.

Actually they keep saying 98 in the press... but before they always said a 90... maybe he upgraded?
I wonder if Dubya'll invite Lance over for a little ride around the ranch? One of the perks of being President is that just about anyone will accept your invites!

Well the first time he fell of his bike they kept saying it was a $1,500 bike, this time around they're saying it was a $3,100 bike so he probably did upgrade. lol. ahhh the perks. :D

I'd enjoy telling him to shove it.

And I'd jet over to D.C. in a heartbeat. There, fair and balanced coverage here in the biekforums.net threads. ;)

A couple of years ago President Bush invited Lance to ride back to Texas on Air Force One.
BTW, the President does ride a mountain bike, and for those who do or have ridden mountain bikes you probably know that it is quite common to fall. It's almost a must. So this shouldn't be a big deal (like it was last time). Just like it shouldn't be a big deal that Sen. Kerry fell on his road bike when he hit some gravel. These things happen when you're active, and these two are both very active. Bush has a resting HR in the 40s and he ran sub 7 minute miles before his knee injury.

I'm a dem, yet if Bush called, I'd go. It would be too cool to resist.
And yes, I agree, falling is part of the deal. If you're trying.

Sorry to get off topic a bit.
I agree. I've always said that it would probably be a blast to hang out with Pres. Clinton. I was was chastised for saying that a few years ago in a Republican campaign office (that's my profession). I told them to go blow it out of (well, you get the point).
Oh, cool Zepplin line.

I'm a Republican, and if any Democrat called, I'd go. No doubt about it, that's an experience you accept. Hell, bend the commander-in-chief's ear. Shape policy! Also nosh on some pretty good victuals I'd imagine.
Well, I'm not a Republican, and if Bush called I'd tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine. But, if Nixon were to have called I'd have gone in a flash. It's not the party I disdain in this regard, it's just the man. Hanging out with Tricky would have been a blast. And funnily enough, I'd have voted for him too.
Who would not go? I'm sure the conversation with Dumbya would be delightful.

Only thing I like about the guy, or what we share that I dislike. Hmmm. Wish he'd get a road bike.
Then I could ride in peace.
Peace>jef.

Yep, he's an idiot, isn't he?
MacMan and hollow, I hope you both have excessive flats for the next few weeks.

Why thank you. Good to see free speech is alive and well in the Land of the Free. Oh and Hollow is a Republican I believe, so I guess you won't want him to be flatting now will you?

It's the government that is prohibited from infringing on free speech. i don't think anyone here represents a government entity. :D
