Has anyone ever done the pedicab thing? I'm interviewing on Wednesday for a position.

In Denver it will be a cold-ass job, but I don't care. I want to make a little extra $ and burn some calories.

Wondering what kind of scrap money I can make out of this. I imagine it's mostly tip money, right?

Do I have to pay the pedicab company for using their bikes? I heard that it can work a bit like that, too.

Thanks,

Mark

Don't know about where you are, but in Key West the driver gets to pay the pedi-cab company. Ask during the interview, if they don't bring it up.

Visiting Denver a year ago, thing I remember most are the quads and calves of the pedicab drivers. Made the mountains look mushy by comparison.

And that the pedicabs throw one helluva draft!

i ride and manage for a company here in chicago. denver is becoming a tough market. peddicabs are becoming popular and everyone is starting companies and its over-saturating the market in alot of cities and making it harder to make your money. you should do ok depending on what your working? if its a broncos game you might do ok but also there will be a crap load of cabs out because everyone comes out for a sure thing. you will have to pay rent im thinking it must be a daily rent maybe in $50 range. as far as calories in the summer there were days i couldn't keep up. i wore my calorie counter a few times this summer and it was funny on a busy day it burned 8170. so eat well! the plus is your in awesome shape. its nothing to throw the panniers on the touring bike and take off...even fully load it only ways 70lbs piece of cake. have fun.
