I wipe it out with a paper towel or towel. And then try to prop open the bladder. I betcha if you had an air compressor, that would work wonders (quickly).
Unfortunately, I left my tube "airtight" with moisture inside, and it turned all black (as I mentioned over in a thread on the MTB forum). I washed with 10% bleach solution, but it didn't remove some of the the stain. If anyone knows where to buy antimicrobial tubing for replacement OR how to completely remove the stain, let me know!

I took an old coat hanger and bent it into a shape where it will fit inside the mouth but holds the bladder open. Then I just hang it up.
In my experience, when you start to get mold inside the bladder there isn't anything that will really get rid of it. I usually just buy a new bladder every spring.

I had no further problems with mine, once I stopped putting sports drink in it. Clean water in a new bladder and hose. Some people put it in the freezer between uses.

Be careful with using and air compressor, most of them will send trace amounts of oil along with the air. I don't think oil mixed with your water in the blatter would taste good.
