I have been looking for a new (used) track bike. Found a bike I had never heard of for sale called Innerlight, handbuilt in CA with Ritchey "Nitanium" tubes (steel). Looks like a decent bike, but I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience. The Innerlight website doesn't tell you much.

Innerlights are made in Davis California. I've seen a few and they have all been very well built. From what I know he is a small (one or two man) shop that hand builds all of his frames. How much is the frame and what size?

Cheers

I figured out the bit about where the frames are made. Looks like Innerlight has moved on to Columbus EL tubing instead of the Ritchey Nitanium tubeset, so I am guessing this is not a recently made frame. 61cm, $700 built up is their asking price; cranks are D/A but the seller wasn't sure what kind of hubs, bar, rims, rear spacing, etc. was on the bike. That makes it a little bit of a risk since I am in NYC and they are in CA. I have some room in my budget, so I am thinking about going with a very nice, custom frame (gan well pro, nagasawa, waterford?) rather than cheaping out and buying something used. I should be nicer to myself. The price is probably fair but as I said, seller can't answer most of my questions which makes me think the bike may be stolen. He claims to be selling it for his brother who left for college.
