Introductions - New to the forum, old to biking
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've been enjoying reading this forum. I ride a Motobecane from bikesdirect, so not to fancy, but the price is right. Its my second one in two years. The first was wrecked by a drunk in a pickup making a left turn... so I'm happy to be alive. My previous bike was a Fuji "Special Road Racer" bought used in 1975. My 26 year old son rides that now. I ride about 5000 miles a year, about half of that in club rides. I did the M24HC this year and have been doing some self contained trips, I pull a Burley trailer for that. I have always asked myself what the attraction of riding a bicycle around is. Not sure I have a good answer for that, but I sure enjoy it. I enjoy drueling over really nice bikes and enjoyed the thread that had pictures of peoples bikes... really nice!

Welcome ! Interesting take on the Motobecane, though I've read things to that effect before. It seems that ordering a bike, then assbl. it one's self works for you.
They sure look good on paper. I reckon you're due for a plus 3k rig in April and still keep your current rig as well of course. You've an impressive riding dossier too.
