hello everyone i have a italvega nuovo record that i picked up for 40 bucks i wanted to repaint it cus the decals are faded. heres a picture though. how much is this bike worth. everything is all original campagnolo everything.

AFAIK Italvega was the brand of bikes imported by Ben Lawee from Italy before he switched his sources of supply to Japan and renamed the brand Univega.

I don't know what it's worth, but almost certainly worth more if you *don't* paint it.

well what do i do about the rust...i got most of it off with a lil bit of solution and sos pad..is there anything else i can do? would i damage the cost if i put the decals back on..cuz there kinda faded..?

Do a search of this forum on rust. There are about 1000 threads on it right now, with lots of information (good and bad).


Yes, you damage the value with either a repaint or a redecal. Clean it up and leave it original. A bike like this only has its original finish once. Repaint or redecal costs serious dollars and every dollar spent lowers the value of the bike by at least a dollar as well.

That paint looks to be in incredibly good condition.
