I just picked up a 2009 Kona Ute recently. And man do I love it. Just for fun the other night i wanted to test its commuting ability. I did my 30+ mile round trip work commute in the middle of the night. The 15 mile trip there was easy with no problems. The first 5 miles back went well also. However, at around the 20 mile mark i became a bit tired and sore. I think this was mostly due not taking a quick breather once i arrived at work and just doing all 30 miles at once. Also i think it was because i started the ride just before 2 am and finished just after 4 am so i was already sleepy/tired .In a real situation i would be able to ride the 15 miles to work....and work for 8 hours/rest....and then ride the 15 miles back. I think that would be much easier.
All in all i love the bike to death and it is now my only and main bike. I was curious if anyone knows the exact weight of the 20 inch Ute...i cant seem to find it anywhere?
