Is this the right section to talk about bike polo.? Harcourt bike polo.
Anyways I was wondering how many of you all out there play bike polo.
Maybe a picture thread of your bikes. I just got into it about 3 weeks ago. Although me and some of my friends as kids played a game a lot like it.

No reason not to talk about it in here, but there's probably more polo players in the single speed/fixed gear forum.

meh. it's what i had laying around, and i needed a polo bike, so.....

it's really not bad. it's all factory parts (from various mongoose and other kids' bikes). works out pretty nice too. tight radius vs all those fixies out there.

ha nice. Polo is a blast. We had a good turn out and got to play some full games last week. Great time. :)

Something happened to my breaks where I just couldn't stop. That was hard but made it fun in another way.

yeah i play, not much this summer, new baby, and I sprained my ankle playing soccer in the spring....it's just starting to feel okay now. But I do love polo. I play on grass. I have 2 bikes, an orange single speed, coaster with one brake lever that operates both brakes. It's my loaner for newbies, and my back-up bike, I need to gear it down a notch. I like a 2-1 ratio. My yellow one is fixed out, no brakes. Both are rockhoppers.

I'm picking it up. I know a group that plays every other Friday.

I believe it officially started over there, or close to; Ireland I think. But I also would think that enough folks have "thought they invented it" that nobody will ever know exactly where bicycle polo actually started. A fairly recent world championship match was held in irleand.

I love how "bicycle polo" is referred to as bizzarr, yet people don't seem to think that equestrian polo is bizzarr.

Bike polo is the bicycle+ball sport for people not talented enough to play radball. (myself included)
