Hello All,
Full time rider since August 05. Prior to that was an occasional rider since childhood. Generally do 150-200km a week. Usually do 3-4 "events" a year. Gives you something to train and aim for. The events I refer to are things like week long events, Around the Bay in a Day, Noosa Century, Coot-tha Challenge etc. Done some crit racing. Tried MTB once.
The best thing about cycling is the people I ride with. Fresh air and exercise is good, but the crew I ride with - they are the best! One of your forum members here, "ranchu", is one them.
Bikes:
Apollo Hybrid - not sure what model size , not sure about any of it really - got me started .
Lemond Tourmalet, 59cm, Tiagra compact, Velocity Deep V wheels - my training bike.
Cannondale CAAD7, 56cm, 9spd Ultegra, Shimano Wheels - bought it second hand, fabulous bike, started love affair with Cannondale. too small really, should sell it, won't ride it now that I have the CAAD9. But it is so beautiful, metalic blue, I can't bear the thought of parting with it.
Cannondale CAAD9-6, 58cm, 6600 Ultegra, TWE carbon clinchers - this bike reeks of quality
My wife cycles too. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
