Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I ride a TREK mountain bike. I just wanted to talk with other people who are involved with mountain biking because most of my friends and family don't know what I'm talking about, and don't understand my obsession with cycling. If anybody wants to talk just let me know!

Hi Jenn,

I also live in a world and family without cyclists. I am a roadie at heart, but do have a mtb also. Just letting you know that you are not alone! Burleson, Texas here...

Please switch to a darker color print. Yow, yellow on white has no contrast.

Hi Jenn, maybe join local bike clubs and meet riders, find some you like and ride.

Most of my friends ride road, I mtb, so I ride alone a lot. You like the Trek? I dislike new bikes, ride a real old steel racing bike, man I love the thing.

I think bikings great, did you know your lung capacity grows until 24, last organ to reach adult size.

don't smoke 'till your @ least 25 and keep cycling!

Welcome to the forums! I too come from a generally non-biking family. The wife still hasn't figured out why I would rather take an hour and pedal 18 miles home from work at night, when by car it is a short 20 minute trip. And what really gets her is the fact that I've got this huge grin on my face when I arrive home. Her comment: "how can you still smile after peddaling all the way home!?" (The grin is called a recumbent grin and seriously affects those of us who ride recumbents). Join a nice cycling club, ride, enjoy yourself, and have fun!

Sorry about the yellow font, I'm just partial to yellow (Viva Lance!). There are some great bike clubs where I'm from, but I'm taking 20 hours in College and it's hard to find time to ride, but nvertheless, ride I will.

Also, I'm starting to get interested in Road cycling, but I don't have a lot of money to spend on a bike. Any suggestions from you roadies out there?

Jenn

ps- I love TREK Bikes :D

Or a old school road bike, a friend got a Bianchi for $300. Old and totally sweet. Even celest? green paint.
