Hi everyone -
any suggestions for a place where I can rent a road bike in Philly for a couple of rides? Rides suggestions are welcome too!

Hello there,
Human Zoom on Main Street in Manayunk offer road bike rentals for about $80/48hrs (Trek Madone I believe). Their number is 215-487-7433.
Breakaway Bikes on Chestnut St also rents bikes, although I do not know if they are road bikes. Their rental outlet is on Boathouse Row on Kelly Drive along the Schuylkill River, just past the Art Museum. That is also along the Schuylkill River Trail which is a nice ride for those unfamiliar with Philly. They charge about $10/hr or $50/day or thereabouts. I think Bike Line on Arch St. near the Convention Center also rents bikes, although I am not sure on that one. I do not know of too many really nice rides IN Philly other than the Schuylkill Trail but there are some great rides outside of the city in nearby Bucks County. Also you may want to check out these folks www.phillybikeclub.org for any ride info you may need.
