A friend was just given this bike, and he'd like to know what year it is. It's silver and blue (silver at the front, blue at the back). It's definitely 98 or earlier; it doesn't have the adjustable stem. The first mention of silver I found on bikepedia.com earlier than 98 was 96, but even then it just said silver, not silver and blue.

Take the serial number, then try and contact Univega: http://www.univega.com/contact.asp?active=10-1&lang=english
They should be able to look up what year the bicycle is.

I think that this bike is from around 92 to 94 range. As far as I remember, cromoly frameset with Shimano Rapidfire shifters and drivetrain. Nice bike.
