hi there-please be gentle with the newbie-apologies if this has been asked before.

I am looking for mudguards for my new subway 2 - it has 26 inch MTB wheels,

I do about 7 miles a day, so not much.

I am confused as to which mudguards i should buy. I want to make sure i get the right ons before ordering online. Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance

Planet Bike's 'ATB' fenders are for 26" wheels. SKS also makes them, but you have to read the specs to see if they're for 26" or 700cc. PB's Speed-Ez fenders attach with bands so they'll go straight on your bike without mods. Other fenders will fit,but you might need to bend the rear stays and/or use a longer bolt and spacer on the left side to clear the disc caliper. For the front, mount the stays to the bolts that are in the sides of your fork about half way down the legs.

I think what you refer to as mudguards, I usually hear as fenders.

If that's the case, you want - http://ecom1.planetbike.com/7005.html - these - http://ecom1.planetbike.com/7007.html - or these.
Have the latter on my Trek 820. They are quite amazingly huge and work well.

do you recommend clip on types?
Clip on fenders suck.

Since I'm a photo wh*re, here's some pictures of the fenders. These are over some 26x1.9" tires that are slightly wider than 1.9":

I'm sorry, I don't see link for what you are thinking of getting...

I recommend just about any full wrap fenders or mud guards. You just need to make sure they're designated for bikes with 26" wheels and they're wide enough to fit over your tire.
