Just replaced my calipers to DA and was not able to get the furrel (excuse the spelling) ino the caliper. So I put the housing right into the caliper. I was surprised that my original furrels would not fit. I thought all brake cable sets were 5mm and it seems that these are 4mm. Thoughts on this would be appreciated.

These are designed to not need ferrules at the caliper.

It's not just the 7900's that are like this as well.

Was not sure how important the ferules were to the caliper and a bike mechanic I talked to confirmed your answers. Thanks
