So I replaced the front cog with a da cog and it still rattles the chain appears to wiggle back and forth ~~~a very very small amount as it comes down the chain line. It makes a rattling sound when it gets to the cog.

I personally think the chain needs to be replaced, it has some ****ty offbrand chain on it.

Put a load of teflon chain lube on the chain, see if that helps.

I just changed to dura ace cogs. 13t 14t and 15t. At first it was noisy, I loaded the chain with a fresh load of teflon chain lube and it's much quieter now. My chainline is perfect.

Is your chain supposed to be 1/8 or 3/32? That could be it.

That would be a chain ring, Mr. Particular.

oh man i think i know the problem lol, your bottom bracket might be too long . mine is too long, i need to get shorter ones. OR your spider might be bent.

If you're referring to the BB spindle length, I think he mentioned he got the chain line "pretty darn straight" so I don't think that's the problem.

your tension is off
THIS is most likely your problem. It's my problem as well, I tried SHELDON'S (http://sheldonbrown.com/fixed-conversion.html#tension) method of achieving a decent tension a couple times. Then I realized I was using the 3/32 chain ring from the road bike with a predominantly 1/8 drive train.

EDIT: If I'm not mistaken this is to be used indoors at home? Have you tried riding outside?
