Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - what size MKS clips?

Unfortunately, I can only find size medium at the shops around town (which are definitely too small) which leaves me to order online. I wear size 12 Vans...should I go large or XL?

Also...are steel better than alloy clips?

probably xls. but if you want less toe overlap get the regular larges.

Thanks Biffle. I was thinking large, as I never ride in bulky shoes.

Yeah...after doing a little research, I figured as much there too. Alloy seems like they'd be...fragile?

MKS clips run small. I'd go XL. I wear 9-9.5 shoes/sneakers and use MKS L full and half clips on my bikes.

I'm a 13 and I got the XL, it's probably the correct size for me but it gives me problems with toe overlap and scraping on the ground sometime when my feet are not in them. Also they can be a pain sometimes to get into as they are long but the height is is pretty narrow. Plus it feels like my foot does not really need to be in that far. I will probably go back a size to large at some point to try it out.

i wear size 13 and i rode in vans a lot when i had clips/straps and i used the XL's.

I think I'm going to try large. I ride in slip ons and my feet are wide but pretty flat. I don't want to end up with huge-ass clips hat are half empty.
