I should be getting my bike in a few days, and I've been thinking.....I need a cyclometer for this thing dont I?

Right now I've found a couple:

Cateye Astrale 8
Cateye Astrale
Performance Axiom A.08c

I'm leaing toward the Astrale 8...because it's speed display goes up to 185mph. I'll need that :p

Any Suggestions?

I've got an Astrale and have been nothing but happy with it.
I'm beginning to look into the wireless with Cadence that Cateye
just came out with only because I think it would look better.
(and the fact that I'm a bike geek and NEED these things :D )

I use the Astrale as well. You can get it at Performance for around $20. It works very well.

I've got two Astrale's. One has 11,000+ miles; the other 15,500+. Both work fine.

I have an Astrale on one bike - couple of years now with no problems. Astrale 8 on Wife's bike and I like the design a bit better. It is easier to use and read.

Looks like I'm picking up an Astrale 8 when I get my bike from the LBS.

Thanks for the posts

I just ordered an Astrale. The others are too expensive for me. I didn't want wireless because of conceren about interference with my heart rate monitor.

I like the Polar wireless - has all the funtions including cadence and also displays heart rate - all on one device. Downloadable to the computer too so you can track your workouts.

While the computer worked ok the mount was junk and the computer was barely held in there and fell out a few times, at some point during Bike NY the cadence gave out, and the wiring is skimpy at best, i love cateye products but hated this one, i loved my Enduro and the other one under and i love the features of my Double Wireless 3000 do far.

I bought an Astrelle 8 and ended up switching to a Sigma Sport 1600. I like it mostly b/c of the thumb button. The A8 was nice but I preferred the SS1600.
